PERANA MORE THAN JUST A CAPRI

Most of the younger generation racing and motoring enthusiast will see a Ford Capri Perana at one point or another and like most I know will probably want to own one of these iconic South African built car or rather South African tuned car. But the man behind it Basil Green did not actually master
mind only the V8 Capri

So if all these models received the Perana treatment from Basil Green why do we not hear much about them? Well the answer is simple, production numbers, meaning how many were manufactured. and in the case of the V8 Capri Basil Green manufactured between 500 and 550.

In a recent discussion I had with a friend he actually said that he thinks Basil Green is the South African Carol Shelby. What do you think?
